Maxi-Steam Cleaning Systems design and manufacture the Maxi-Steam range of mobile Carpet Steam-Cleaning equipment, designed for even the harshest Australian conditions and giving unparalleled reliability and longevity. The units are installed in a van, trailer or long-bay utility and require only cold water at the cleaning site. No external source of electricity is required, the machine generates its own hot water and the vacuum and high pressure systems are high achievers.
EASE, PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY Maxi-Steam units have been engineered to provide top performance, fully field-tested to ensure the highest standard of efficiency. The unit's motors have more than sufficient power and torque characteristics to drive its components, without placing stress on the power unit, ensuring a long service life. Simply connect the supply hose to a cold water tap on-site, start the machine, layout cleaning hoses and wand and start work! Maintenance on all components is straightforward and can be performed by most operators. THE HEART OF THE UNITS Maxi-Steam machines are available in 2 configurations, utilizing 20 or 24 hp Honda petrol driven engines. Units are housed in a rugged steel frame with removable safety screens and fitted with a fully instrumented control panel.
All units use the proven Water-Ring Vacuum Pump that takes extracted water through a stainless steel pre-filter where grit and rubbish is removed. Because the vacuum pump is designed to use water to create suction, neither the quantity of water used nor, detergents & foam extracted from previously shampooed carpets affect its high performance. The High-Pressure Pump system allows the unit to output approx 3 Imp. gallons per min at up to 800 psi, most operators finding 400 psi more than adequate. Pressure is regulated by an unloading valve which allows the pump to idle at about 20-30 psi when the flow through the line stops, thus reducing heat build-up and extending pump life. Water heating in the Honda Maxi-Steam is achieved via a revolutionary all copper Heat Exchange System (Aust. Pat App No. 14332/83 U.S. Pat App No. 699,894). The operating water is maintained continuously at 70 - 75 deg C (158 - 167 deg F), perfect for the Carpet/Upholstery cleaning application.
ACCESSORIES A stainless steel hose reel capable of holding 50 mtrs of Vacuum and High Pressure solution hose and a retractable cold water hose reel fitted with 12 mtrs of reinforced delivery hose, form part of the standard set. Vacuum hose reels of larger capacity or with separate rotating vacuum and solution reels can be supplied on request. The vacuum and high-pressure hoses used conform to the most exacting standards. Strong and flexible, there is no significant drop in vacuum performance, even over 100 metres. A full range of high quality Stainless Steel wands up to 15" width are available. Upholstery tools, Power pre-sprayers, hand pump sprayers, drying fans and many other items are always stocked to complete your cleaning set. All are made to give long and lasting service.
VEHICLE PREPARATION It is strongly recommended that the selected vehicle be fitted with a varnished 1/2" thick marine-ply floor over the existing ribbed steel floor, as it provides greater stability, protection against rusting and facilitates easy cleaning. For ease of installation and convenience, the Maxi-Steam is also available in modular and semi-modular form (incorporating hose reels and waste tank) which considerably reduces installation times. Each Maxi-Steam is pre-tested prior to delivery and is covered by a 12 month conditional warranty - the Honda engine itself has a 2 year warranty.
